OPTIMAL AIR QUALITY EDUCATIONAL MATERIAL

StuyTown Peter Cooper Village promotes an optimal air quality education to make awareness of indoor and outdoor air quality preservation to minimize the impact of health, particularly for vulnerable occupants, such as, children and elderly. We are encouraging the community to take part in improving the air quality we breathe. We hold a strict smoke and tobacco-free policy, and we trust the community to support it.

IDLE REDUCTION POLICY

To follow the New York State and New York City’s idling regulations, we have implemented this Idle Reduction Policy to minimize the environmental impact of idling on air quality and occupants’ health. This policy is designed to reduce unnecessary vehicle idling at StuyTown, contributing to a healthier environment for residents, employees, and the surrounding community.

HAZARDOUS WASTE MANAGEMENT POLICY

This policy addresses safe collection, storage, transportation, and disposal of applicable types of hazardous waste at StuyTown. Beam Living is responsible for properly managing hazardous waste generated from operations and maintenance, as well as providing training and educational materials to residents to reduce toxic chemical exposure and enhance public safety.

EMERGENCY GATHERING POINT

An emergency gathering location plan is designed to accommodate residents and occupants according to the assigned building in the event of a building evacuation, while maintaining a clear and security destination for our community to evacuate when instructed by authorities and instructed via AlertMedia or e-mail.
